CASE Unity Hands

As the SAS Office of Undergraduate Education (SAS-OUE), we affirm that it is our responsibility to combat systemic racism and other forms of discrimination as they occur within the University community and we join the collective effort to create an inclusive and equitable campus for all. The Coalition for Anti-Racism, Social Justice, and Equity (CASE) stands in solidarity with our colleagues at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who have been targeted by threats of violence over the past month. As members of a fellow institution of higher learning, we are deeply disturbed by this attack on the safety, security, and physical and mental well-being of our peers and colleagues at these institutions.

A crucial part of the mission of CASE is to support an inclusive and diverse campus community for faculty, staff, and students. We acknowledge the pain that these and all instances of bias and anti-blackness inflict on our community, and reaffirm our commitment to combating systemic racism and other forms of discrimination in our community. For more information on what to do if you witness or experience an act of bias.
